I'm Joy Huang, a passionate software engineer with 6 years of professional experience who loves building elegant solutions to complex problems. My journey in tech started while I was in college for Psychobiology and has evolved into a career focused on creating meaningful digital experiences. I believe that the intersection of technology and creativity is where the most interesting work happens.
I'm particularly interested in web development, user experience design, and building tools that make people's lives easier. I'm always learning new technologies and techniques to expand my skillset. Currently, I work at RippleMatch, where I get to collaborate with talented teams to build innovative solutions for job seekers and employers. I'd like to expand my expertise into AI engineering and ios development.
When I'm not coding, you'll find me playing sports like tennis, pickleball, climbing, and volleyball. I also enjoy other creative projects - like painting, playing guitar, and knitting.
What I Do
- Full-Stack Development: Building web applications from concept to deployment with authentication, analytics, and responsive design. Experienced working with cross-functional teams and collaborating on agile projects. Can work agilely in both the frontend and backend. Experienced in leading teams as both a team lead and engineering manager.
- UI/UX Design: Creating intuitive and beautiful user interfaces. Prioritizes user experience, mobile-first, and accessibility in all projects. Has experience working with 3rd party UI design libraries as well as developing internal design systems using storybook.
- Design Patterns: Experienced in building scalable systems using design patterns like domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and publication-subscription. Skilled in writing clean, maintainable code with SOLID principles and unit testing.
- Continuous Learning: Always exploring new technologies and best practices. Currently diving into AI engineering and iOS development.
